Not a general maths tutor. A Pearson Edexcel specialist focused on helping high-achieving students secure Grades 8 and 9.
I have studied Edexcel papers, mark schemes, examiner reports and grade boundaries closely for years, and worked as an official GCSE and IGCSE exam marker. Today I specialise in online Pearson Edexcel tuition for students in the UK, Dubai, across the UAE and internationally.

My tuition focuses on Pearson Edexcel. I have studied its exam papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, topic frequency and grade boundaries closely, which helps me identify the question types and exam habits that commonly separate Grades 6, 7, 8 and 9.

A Grade 8 and 9 specialism
Many capable students already understand most of the mathematics needed for a Grade 8 or 9. The challenge is applying it consistently under exam conditions.
Each programme is built around the student’s own papers and performance, so we revisit topics where the evidence shows they need attention.

My approach
Start with evidence. Target what matters.
Every student follows the same five-stage process, so each session focuses on the areas most likely to improve performance.
01Diagnose
We use recent mock papers and exam questions to find exactly where marks are being lost.
02Prioritise
We separate genuine knowledge gaps from issues with reasoning, accuracy, confidence and exam execution, then decide what to tackle first.
03Train
We work on those priorities with carefully selected Edexcel-style questions, reviewing, modelling and building in small steps.
04Apply
Students practise tackling unfamiliar, higher-demand problems independently, so the skill holds up without me beside them.
05Measure
We return to exam questions to check what has improved, and revisit topics where the evidence shows they still need attention.

Using an IPEVO visualiser, we work through full solutions together in real time. Students see and practise the written method and layout that earn marks, not just the final answer.
